When passing through the residential spaces, you will undoubtedly feel the sense of community and spirit that exists in this area. People from all over India live in Dharavi and a tour through its narrow alleys is quite an adventure -- you will leave with an enlightened sense of the purpose and determination that exists in this extraordinary area.

Two friends wanted to show a glimpse of Dharavi to the world.Their mission was to show the world how beautiful a slum can be from Inside. They named their yours and services as "Be The Locals" and after getting no response they created their website .Fahim, one of the person who started this still remembers his first mail from tourists who were quite excited to explore Dharavi.

This is quite surprising and shocking. In a society which shies away from the very mention of "slums", it is motivating to see the society's views challenged.

Yes it is motivating infact Dharavi, Asia's largest slum, lies on prime property right in the middle of India's financial capital, Mumbai and that is shocking to see a slum at the center of a city.
