GHETTO TOURISM OR SLUM TOURISM

Travel undertaken to visit rundown inner-city neighborhoods or ethnic enclaves, primarily in the United States and primarily by foreign visitors. It’s quite amazing to see the shanties midst the skyscrapers.A new tourism venture is emerging, some call it 'Slum Tourism' while a section put it as a 'Poor-ism' for enthusiastic tourists. Whatever, the term may be used, tourists are showing keen interest in roaming through the fetid alleys of the fly infested slum areas to learn about the real Poverty. Don't miss a chance to visit the slum and know what it makes to be happy, definitely - not money!

  1. I see most of the foreign tourists coming to India for ghteto tourism. They click amazing pictures there, know about the place in depth, get to know people working in small scale industries.

  5. It is inspiring to see that people are aware and are interested to come face to face with the startling realities of the standard of the ghetto people.

Well being a photographer and capturing people in the slum just shows how good your skills are. But the interesting part is in the picture the skills of the photograper is not seen. Only the forlorn faces of the slum people.

    1. The part which fascinates me about you Shirley is that your perspective on seeing the slum tourism is different and i must suggest you to try out some slum areas nearby. Iam sure you would enjoy it.
